So.. What's Alterhumanity, again?

As stated on the homepage: Alterhumanity is the state of falling outside the norms of human society--what exactly that means depends on what society you're a part of! This can include identifying as something other than human (such as otherkin or therians), being a plural system (such as having Dissociative Identity Disorder or tulpas), identifying closely with something nonhuman (otherhearteds, synpaths), and much more. This website is specifically about people with alterhuman identities related to Pokemon, so it might include people who identify as Pokemon on some level, systems with Pokemon in them, people who have Pokemon as hearttypes, etc!

Some quick definitions for some of these other terms, to help you grasp them a little better:

• Fictionfolk - Someone who has an alterhuman identity related to fictional media. This is an umbrella term of other fiction-based identities.
• Fictionkin - Someone who identifies as a fictional character on some level. Someone could be a specific character, like Ash Ketchum, or a species like a lopunny!
• Fictive - A member of a plural system who is a fictional character/species.
• Otherhearted - A person who has a strong connection with a nonhuman entity. This can be feeling like that entity is your family, or feeling like you should be one of them but you aren't--among other experiences.
• Otherkin - A person who identifies as nonhuman on some level.
• Otherlinker - A person who voluntarily changes their identity to identify as nonhuman on some level.
• Plural - Multiple people who share a body. This can include Dissociative Identity Disorder, soulbonding, tulpas, and more.
